To start with the important obvious first:

Probably many things: Hero. Fighting for justice. Power. Pride.

Also Jan Bobrowics - a master of sharp and funny memes - used this symbolism to make a point about Jim Stewartson: After getting banned on Twitter, Stewartson hates Twitter but at the same time longing for coming back on Twitter - like a divorced dad:

Now, an atypical association

Steven Jarvis, former Special Education Teacher from Fort Worth, Texas, who is banned on Twitter and Medium, thinks differently.

He associates this Batman meme with something completely different: Suicide.

What is behind Jarvis’ thinking?

The obvious motivation of Jarvis to use that association is to use it for attacking Jan, even if there is no basis in reality for such allegations.

But the question is: Why did Jarvis come up with this suicide association in the first place?

It would be a very far stretch for most people to associate Batman, super dads or that meme with suicide. Coming up with such a metal connection stands out. Unfortunately not in a good way.

First conclusion: Signs of trouble

Steven Jarvis seems to be a troubled man. Longing for a normal live, but unemployed for some time now, seems to have money problems, and having suicide associations other people would not come up with.

If this is spurious or signs of deeper trouble or danger to him, impossible to tell from the outside. This is something his family, friends or doctors may be able to tell and possibly intervene if necessary.

If he needs help, I wish he will get all help he needs and has loving people around him who can support him.

Second conclusion: No excuse

But even if these are signs of personal trouble in his life, they would be no excuse for harassing and bullying people, and lying about them.

Illness - including mental illness - is never an excuse for malicious behavior.

Also attacking Jan in such an dishonest way is deeply malicious.
